Ky Burke Wins AKC Shakedown

Ky Burke takes a convincing win at the Australian Kart championship shakedown held at Monarto SA.

Ky won the PRO Junior class (KA2) in style by taking the lead early. He drove a faultless race from start to finish. Ky’s hard work with training and understanding the new Kinetic kart is paying off.

The team will return to Monarto for the Australia kart Championship round 1 in a few weeks’ time.

thanks

“The new Energy Space Kart did not disappoint, being on rails all day, great feedback through the kart and massive mid corner grip! To even breaking the track record for TAG 125! A massive thanks to Energy Corse Australia for getting the karts up to us to race and do testing. Big thanks to Mitch Boyce who was a massive help to Brian Flynn and myself, in pit crewing and helping with all of our drivers when we were pushed for time. 2019 Energy Space WINS on Debut!

The all new 2019 Energy Space has WON in it’s first ever race world-wide, the Shamick Racing 4-Hour Enduro.

Matthew McLean and James Golding brought the new kart home in 1st place after disaster struck in a turn-one incident, the pair dropping to 40th position and later losing a further 2 laps after fouling a spark plug during the second stint.

Having passed 36 karts during the first stint, the pair were back in the game in no time and had actually ended up a lap ahead after the first stop due to capitalising on a safety car situation.

With disaster striking again midway through the second stint with a fouled spark plug, the all new Energy Space frame showed it’s pure speed in getting the pair back up to the top step come the checkered flag.
